| Our service covers the whole of the Overberg for primary emergency calls as well as transfers from hospital to hospital. Our main station is in Hermanus and we have a branch in Kleinmond. Gansbaai and Stanford is covered from Hermanus as well. In case of an emergency in any other Overberg Town the nearest government ambulance can be contacted at 10177 if the need is of immediate attention and can not wait for us to travel to your town. They will take care of you and take you to the nearest Provincial Hospitals Emergencies where a doctor will stabilise and contact us at Ambumed to transfer you to the nearest private hospital. In this case we contact your medical aid from our side and get authorisation for transport. We are contracted in with all medical aids in SA. No need to call your aid for authorization with an emergency, we transport and claim afterwards from our side. If no medical aid is availible we charge an affordable fee for the service depending on distance and level of emergency.
