 About Bluberry Technologies (PTY) Ltd

Bluberry Technologies (PTY) Ltd provides solutions to both individuals and companies. Our services include development, online shopping, project management and much more. Bluberry Technologies was established in 2006 and decided to include online retailing as one of its functions specialising in Home entertainment. Bluberry Technologies will at this stage be selling DVD's, Games and Hardware via its website ( and at a later stage may include other products. Security is provided by Thawte Digital certificates and we use PayGate as our payment gateway.

Payment methods include Credit Cards, Internet Transfers and direct deposits. Delivery is done through CourierIT (door to door) or SpeedServices (Direct to Post Office).

Delivery, shipping and returns policy

We ship within South Africa only at a cost of R 29.00
Orders are shipped from our offices in Cape Town.

Products may only be returned when defective and within 7 days of your products shipping date.

When you receive a parcel, please ensure it is sealed. Next check the contents of the parcel with the Invoice received. If there is a discrepancy immediately contact Customer Services at or Telephone: 021 957-9900.
If a customer is not satisfied with a product purchased at Bluberry Technologies (PTY) Ltd, it may be returned within 7 days of the shipment date under the following conditions:

If Bluberry Technologies has supplied the incorrect product or the product is defective, Bluberry Technologies will exchange it for the correct item(s). Bluberry Technologies will cover the delivery charges and arrange for the collection and delivery of the item(s).
If a customer is not satisfied with their choice of product, it may be returned for a refund if it is in the original condition ( DVD's, Games, etc. must be sealed, Electronics items not installed or opened). The customer will then be liable for a delivery charge and an additional handling fee of 10% of the value of the product. The delivery and handling charge will be quoted by Bluberry Technologies and will be deducted from the refunded amount.
The following goods cannot be returned for a refund once they have been opened and will only be replaced (if defective) for the same product - DVD's, Games and Computer software. All the original packaging and inserted material must be included with the returned item(s).
Bluberry Technologies will adhere to the warranty periods of products such as Computer hardware. These products usually have a guarantee of one year, but some products have a shorter warranty period. Warranty periods will be given to a customer on request. Note that physical damage inflicted by the customer is not covered by warranties or guarentees and any such damage invalidates the warranty. Determination of what constitutes physical damage is done by the supplier of the item.
Bluberry Technologies will not be liable for incompatibilities in computer hardware. Should an item purchased be incompatible with your existing hardware, you may return it within 7 days of shipping providing it is in its original condition, and is accompanied with all its, undamaged, packaging and all the cables, CDs and other material. A handling fee of 30% is applicable to the return of incompatible products as well as a shipping fee. The shipping fee will vary, dependent on where you are located, and will be quoted on request.
Certain Electronics goods may not be returnable unless defective. Please contact to confirm whether an item is exchangeable or not.
When an Electronics item can be returned it must be returned with all its original packaging and accessories. This includes, but is not limited to, cables, discs and manuals. In addition all the suppliers barcode stickers and serial number stickers must still be attached to the product, and must not have been removed. Even accidental removal and re-attachment of the barcode sticker will void the warranty in most cases, as it will no longer be possible to verify exactly when that individual item was purchased.
Electronic goods can be returned for testing during the warranty period. If however it is found not to be faulty, or the item was physically damaged by the customer, the shipping fee to and from the customer, and a handling fee of 10% of the product's price will be levied. Our suppliers will be the sole judge of what constitutes physical damage by the customer.
Note that Bluberry Technologies is not responsible for ensuring the compatibility of your printer with the cartridge you select. Should you wish to return an incorrectly ordered cartridge then the entire box must still be sealed. A handling fee of 10% as well as extra shipping charges will apply in the event of the customer having ordered the incorrect cartridge. Should Bluberry Technologies have supplied the incorrect cartridge, then the item will be exchanged, provided it hasn't been opened, free of charge.
Orders over a certain value will require you to produce your I.D. book when the courier's deliver your package to you. This measure is merely a security measure to ensure the correct person takes delivery of the order. When you place your order, you will be notified on the final sales confirmation screen and in the sales confirmation e-mail when you I.D. will be required.

Delivery to Major Metropolitan Areas will be done by means of our courier service.

Deliveries to towns outside of the major Metropolitan Areas (Johannesburg, Bloemfontein, Durban, East London, Port Elizabeth and Cape Town) will be done by means of Speedservices Couriers. It will therefore be delivered to the post office where you have a post office box or private bag. If you only have a street address, it will be delivered to the nearest post office. We will notify you by email as soon as your order has shipped and your Speedservices tracking number will also be provided. In most cases the items will be delivered to your post office within 24 hours of shipping.

Deliveries of certain fragile Electronics items will only be done by courier at the current shipping charge. Determining what a fragile item is will be at the discretion of our Shipping Department. Orders over R750 will also only be done by courier at the current shipping charge. No additional shipping charges will apply to these orders.

Every item on the site has a shipping period statement such as "Normally ships in 3 to 5 working days". This is an indication of how long an item is expected to take, before it leaves us. In order to calculate your expected delivery time, take the item with the longest shipping period, and add the courier delivery time. For major metropolitan areas the courier delivery time is 1 - 2 days. For regional areas the courier delivery time is 2 - 3 days. For Speedservices deliveries to the post office, the delivery time is 1 day. While Bluberry Technologies makes every effort possible to ensure that the delivery takes place at the early end of that spectrum, it does occasionally occur that we need to use the full delivery period for unforeseen eventualities.

The countdown in terms of the shipping period only begins once your payment has been authorised. For credit cards this means once the bank gives us an authorisation code. For cash deposits and Internet transfers this means once the funds reflect in our bank account. For cheque deposits, this means once the funds have been cleared, which is usually only 7 days after the deposit.

Working days are defined as Mondays to Fridays, excluding Government Public Holidays.

Normally is defined as "under normal conditions". While every effort is made to ensure that all items are kept up to date, it can occur that between our last update, and your order, the status of an item may change. The shipping period is our best estimate of how long an item will take, and is not a guarantee of delivery within that period.

It may happen the between our most recent update, and your order an item may have gone out of stock, been discontinued or delayed beyond its normal shipping period for other reasons. In these instances we'll try and advise you of an Estimated Time of Arrival, and will then present you with the following options:

Wait for the Stock to arrive.
Cancel the outstanding title(s) and receive a refund or credit to use with a future order.
Ship what we have for you, and the outstanding titles with a future order. Notifications will be sent to the email address you registered with. Once you receive the notification, please make the selection you find most appropriate and notify us.

Should Bluberry Technologies be completely unable to source the item we will offer you a refund according to whatever payment method the order was completed with. This will be the limit of our liability.

We do not ship outside of South Africa.

Orders may be collected from our offices. On the checkout screen take the tick off "You have selected to have your order deliverd to you." Once we get your ordered goods we'll send out an automatic email to you telling you that your items are Ready for Collection. Be sure to quote us the Order ID to we can locate your order.

Bluberry Technologies does generally not hold stock of an item but in some cases (popular titles) we probably will. If this is the case the item will show Ships in 1 Working Day. Only items that show Ships in 1 Working Day are in stock at Bluberry Technologies.
