ELCO PLASTICS (PTY) LTD |
Since the establishment of ELCO PLASTICS by Colin Symons and Eldred Bobbin with their new shareholder Chris van Rooyen in May 1998, the company has grown in leaps and bounds, fast becoming a major player in the plastics supply industry.
During July 1998, a compounder extruder was purchased ex Italy, with the view to extend the business into the manufacture of PVC compounds. This extruder was commissioned during September 1998 and customers supplied. A further extruder was commissioned mid 2000, so as to allow the Company greater capacity, which in turn led to an increase in compound business, due to technically correct products being supplied timeously.
The partnership has expanded to include Chris van Rooyen, and together the partners have plotted an aggressive growth and expansion program for the future.
Our company prides itself in supplying top quality products, excellent client support, good service and technical expertise. It's success is built on a hands on approach and a can do attitude, with no order too big or too small.
We now have five fully fledged mixer extruders, a dedicated bottle/foil dry blending plant and a state of the art Thermo Plastic rubber blending and production plant on stream, and with our up to date laboratory testing facility, we have a highly effective research and quality control system in place.
We focus on a variety of products , which are manufactured at our Cape Town plant, and then distributed either locally, or via our Johannesburg depot or our Durban distribution warehouse, and all other major centres.
Our comprehensive export programme is handled out of the Cape Town freight port.
