| INTRODUCTION EHD Components is an established leader in the Heavy Duty Replacement Spares market, particularly in the Southern African region. The company has responded to the many changes and challenges in the region, particularly the growth in the Construction, Agricultural and Transport industries, by expanding its product range and in addition to Engine Spares now also offers: New and Reconditioned Engines, both Stationary and Vehicle Applications. Generator Sets: from 2kVA to 300Kva standard stock items over 300Kva by specific tender Tractors and other Agricultural & Construction Equipment such as compactors, water pumps and high pressure washers. LOCATION The Head Office and Warehouse Stores are situated in central Johannesburg; ideally positioned to service Customers within South Africa as well as the rest of the African Continent.The Durban Branch of EHD is well established and the company plans to open several more branches in strategic locations. MANAGEMENT EHDs business activities are conducted by a management team with a combined total of more than 100 years of experience in the trade. The hands on leadership and management of the company ensures that all aspects of the company's day-to-day operation run smoothly and efficiently. PRODUCTS There is no substitute for quality, and EHD only commissions factories to manufacture after having satisfied itself as to the plants conformance to ISO 9001/9002 and QS9000 and 14000 world standard certification, or the local equivalent in the country concerned. All new parts are sold subject to the standard warranty as issued by the manufacturer. To meet the demands of the ever-increasing range of Heavy and Extra Heavy Duty vehicles in our market, we are constantly expanding the range of products we carry to cater for our customers needs. EHD was instrumental in establishing the Southern African market for Glonet Engines, and is the sole distributor of this brand in the region. EHD has been awarded the South African sole distributorship by KS (Kolbenschmidt) for their DAF Engines product range. We pride ourselves on having sucessfully introduced the Premium Plus brand of Generators into the market. TECHNICAL We offer full technical support services and also conduct PDI (Pre- Delivery) Inspections on new Engines and Generator Sets. A number of EHD employees have undergone intensive technical training at several of our manufacturers factories and are well equipped to offer professional after-sales service and technical support. Unibase is specifically designed to meet the needs of the vehicle After-Market and Parts industry, runs on Unix and operates a high-end IBM database designed for high security and volume trade. The system allows us to efficiently meet our Customers needs, from quoting to managing of accounts.
