ROPEMASTERS CC |
Hydroaccess provides trained and experienced Inspection, Maintenance and In-transit rope access riding crews. We have motivated teams ready to mobilize at short notice who are well traveled and orientated in the offshore marine environment.
Hydroaccess is involved in works in the Industrial and Marine business sectors both locally and internationally. We offer an important resource to our clients which includes specialized rope access teams that provide maintenance and inspection services and solutions in limited access environments.
Among the company's highly trained personnel are rope access I, II & III operators as well as 3rd party inspectors (ANST level II & III), certified and assessed internationally by IRATA (International Rope Access Trade Association).
Industrial
In the past, building scaffold towers, using cherry pickers and platforms were some of the methods used for doing inspection work in higher, inaccessible areas. Rope access has brought a safe, simple, fast and cost effective option to the industrial inspection world.
By using rope access, we provide the following resources to our clients :Non-Destructive Testing, MPI (Magnetic Particle Inspection), Liquid Penetrant Inspection, Ultrasonic Flaw Detection, CCTV (a head mounted camera transmitting video feed and comm's back to a laptop on deck which has a recording function), Thickness Gauging, Pit Mapping, Coating Assessments, Structural Inspection, Electrical Installation Inspection and General Visual Inspection, Photographic and Statutory Inspections.
Marine
We specialize in the class approved Inspection of tanks and vessel internals on FPSO's, FSO's, Rigs and Tankers (stationary or in-transit) with no need for rafting or staging.
Maintenance
Hydroaccess specializes in the following areas of Rope Access assisted maintenance work offshore : General cleaning & washing Heating Coil cutting out and removal Rust removal & application of protective coatings Anode welding & removal Light damage repairs (jacket legs, derricks) High pressure water washing Specialized rigging & lifting Our Rope Access Teams are familiar with 'permit to work' systems and include the right level of supervision and accountability. No maintenance work is carried out without the right paper work in place.
Paperwork will include the following :
A safe working procedure A method statement A risk assessment Equipment certificates Team qualifications Daily Tool box talks
For Class Societies we typically focus on UTM (Ultrasonic Thickness Measurements) and special format reporting and combine it with CCTV when the surveyor would like to see structures in elevated positions without having to be there himself. We will often carry out a Close-up or Steel Renewal Survey alongside the UTM work being carried out by the team.
Anode, Heating Coil and Coating Assessment Surveys are easily coupled with Access Inspection work.
