Stobel is a logistics company that was established in 1988. Stobel encompasses services in the following areas: warehousing, distribution, and clearing & forwarding.
Stobel specialises in the Chemicals, Plastics and Allied Industries. Stobel joined responsible care on the 21st February 2006. Stobel is also compliant with the current legislation regarding the handling and transportation of hazardous goods. What We Do
Distribution & Transport
Goods are delivered in accordance with the client's specific requirements, our rates being dependent on the type of cargo and destination.
We currently operate our own fleet of vehicles ranging from 1–34mt, some with tail lifts. Our vehicles and drivers comply with all specific legislation relating to the carrying of various categories of products. This includes full compliance with the Road Traffic Act for carrying of dangerous goods.
All vehicles are fitted with cellular phones and satellite tracking devices. We constantly monitor & track our vehicles using the latest tracking software.
Warehousing Goods are received & suitably stored in a safe uncontaminated environment with the following services Warehousing with full sprinkler systems maintained annually.
Bonded warehousing. 24 hour security with armed response. Computerised stock with batch/lot number control/management Monthly stock counts as well as random stock counts during the month. Certificates of analysis issued with deliveries where required. Signatories to Responsible Care. Average 24-hour delivery service but guaranteed with 48 hours. Clean safe handling of hazardous chemicals by experienced staff, with due regard to Hazchem legislation. Your products will be stored separately and again separated by category i.e. food, packaging, poisonous, etc. Quarantine area.
Expedient facilities for C.O.D. and Calling customers, with proper financial control of funds received on your behalf.
First in, first out - computerised stock management, including certificate of analysis and batch number control.
Warehouse access limited to authorised personnel with due regard to confidentiality. Staff that is experienced in the warehousing industry, from management to labourers. Immediate reporting and repair or repackaging of breakage's, limiting shrinkage. Urgent same day deliveries handled expediently. Consolidated cargo for exports or dispatch to other major centres.
Documentation
Clear, concise computer documentation is used for all stock movements, samples being available on request. We encourage IT solutions to facilitate stock management with direct /remote access for delivery documents and stock control.
