Taitsaam Spares previously known as Toy Motors was founded by Barnie Tait together with his eldest son Ian. They were joined by Duane Nel in 1996 and seriously started rebuilding Quality 2nd hand Toyota Hilux LDV's. Their reputation soon exceeded them and their rebuilds were requested from all over South Africa and even as far as Namibia.
With Ian and Duane's skill and Barnies eye for perfection they sold many vehicles. Ian tragically passed away in 1997 after which the Taitsaam team was joined by Barnies middle son Ryan and they have been working together ever since. Beginning 1998 Taitsaam started turning their attention towards the supplying of good clean second hand spares and accessories but still rebuilding the occasional Hilux to an even higher standard. People and businesses from all over South Africa have come to know Taitsaam for their Christian morals and good customer relations.
